about

A little hope when your looking towards the ground.

lyrics

I’m constantly lifting up my head
To see the clock at the foot of my bed
I wonder if it’s worth getting up
Got some work to do but its not much
Constantly
Looking for things to do
But I can’t be bothered phoning you
Constantly
Trying sudoku
A space in the grid is it five or two
I’m sitting on our brand-new couch
Fire label still hangs for advice
I wonder if its cold outside
As a breeze whispers past my feet
Constantly
Thinking about posting
An inspirational quote or a dirty joke
Constantly
Thinking I’ll cut and paste
Some good old politics, I know nothing about
The sky is always there if you look up
And I’ll still be here when you get back,
I’ve grown a new lair of belly fat
Crisp crumbs fly as I laugh
I try to run to the park
But the fridge is cooling a twelve park
Constantly, thinking about nothing, writing about nothing, speaking about nothing, worrying about nothing.
The sky is always there when you look up
And I’ll still be here when you get back.

about

Paul Henry Smith Falkirk, UK

Acoustic, electronic, full band, whatever takes my mood. Been crafting music for over 20 years. Still not happy, can you ever write the perfect album?

I'm from Falkirk, I built a small studio with much loved hand me downs and second hand gear.

When I record I get lost in an emotion, it spills onto the disc, sometimes it messy, sometimes its a rather wonderful painting I can keep forever.
