Bird Song

from Creeping Ash by Paul Henry Smith

lyrics

Bird song

I could sing about the rain and the bad things today
but all I want to do is try to make you happy
all my dreams are in bed and my hopes are on standby
so I ain't got much to except make you smile

cos lately
I haven't seen you in a while

we should take a break from the world and our worries with money
we should get out and go fro a walk along the sun kissed river carron
we could sit in the back garden and listen to the bird song
they seem to be the only souls making sense these days

cos lately
I haven't seen you in a while

I guess my mind has been elsewhere, I guess it escaped me
been to busy thinking about myself, thinking about myself
all the things you've done for me, and all you here is sorry
I didn't even notice you were needing me, needing me.

Cos lately
I ain't seen you in a while
do blame me that we haven't talked for a while

its not all bad news, cos it bad news that we want
I've got you you've got me its all we really need

about

Paul Henry Smith Falkirk, UK

I'm from Falkirk, I built a small studio with much loved hand me downs and second hand gear.

When I record I get lost in an emotion, it spills onto the disc, sometimes it messy, sometimes its a rather wonderful painting I can keep forever.
